Disaster has struck!!! While I was eating a lovely squishy burrito for dinner I crunched on something hard. Thinking to myself. ‘That’s not supposed to be there.’ I spat out my mouthful. A white bone colours rock landed on the table. ‘Muuum, what’s that?’ I think. My mind whirrs to life working out the possibilities. ‘Maybe it’s a tooth.’ I consider turning just a little pale. With a little exploring poke from my tongue my worst fears are confirmed. That little bone coloured rock is in fact bone, my bone, my tooth. It doesn’t even hurt but all I can think about is how much will it cost to get fixed. I have some money saved but that was to be used for my insurance on the Yacht Race and I can’t book into my Yacht Masters until I have insurance… Oh what am I to do.
To top it off the dentist is closed tomorrow still being a public holiday so I will have to make do with my gappy smile for the day. I was planning on drumming up media tomorrow but I guess I will have to focus on my proposals until it is fixed. Can you imagine posing for the paper with this smile…
On a brighter note I have been training hard for my bike ride. We (Cris Harris and I) cycled up and interval training storm this morning. Wet and cold we rode our bike up and down the hill near home, around and around we went, sometimes springing in the saddle or standing other time using the highest gear or the lowest.
So now with my neighbour offering me truffle for comfort food I am retiring for the night. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day will all of my teeth.
